Výskyt
Jihozápad Severní Ameriky — jihozápad USA (Nové Mexiko a Arizona) a povodí řek v oblasti Sinaloa a Sonora (Mexiko) na pobřeží Tichého oceánu. Obývá drobnější pouštní a polopouštní vodní toky, ale vyskytuje se také v chladnějších a čirých tocích ve vyšších polohách.
